I am currently expanding my studio at the Music Institute of Chicago and am eager to hear from prospective students! Are you looking for more challenges, interested in building technique, and preparing for auditions and competitions? I am a teacher who approaches each student with care and dedication, charting an individual path, setting goals and working for immediate results. I am also beginning to teach at my house in Okemos, Michigan. SOLO BACH and INTERPRETATION
This is a new class for advanced violinists and violists who have some experience performing unaccompanied Bach, sonatas, partitas and suites.

Have you ever wondered how to make a phrase in order to create drama and excitement in a performance? Or how judges and committees listen to determine if you are a strong player and sophisticated musician? Do you feel that you just do what your teacher says when it comes to phrasing and expression? We will work on exactly how to perform and interpret Bach and with immediate results! Upping your Bach game is our goal!

BACH DOUBLE CONCERTO
Sarah Plum has developed a new and innovative learning experience for students. This class, taking part over sessions on 5 days, combines both solo and chamber music skills. We will rehearse and perform the Bach Double Concerto, with each participant learning both solo parts and all orchestral parts. This is the only class of this kind being offered in the Chicago area. Spaces are limited in this inaugural year so sign up now!
